2026 Zone Start Dates What Dispatchers Need to Know Now

Weight Limits by Road Class and Restriction Level
"There are two levels of spring weight restrictions in Manitoba depending on the strength and surface conditions of the pavement structures. The Level 1 weight restriction applies to weak pavements while the Level 2 weight restriction applies to very weak pavements."

Exemptions Essential Commodities
"When a vehicle is travelling empty on a Level 2 weight restricted road to pick up essential commodities or after having delivered them, 10 kg/mm width of tire up to a maximum of 5,500 kg will be allowed for single steering axles, in accordance with the Essential Commodities provisions."
- Applies only to empty vehicles on Level 2 restricted roads
- Vehicle must be travelling to pick up essential commodities, or returning after delivering them
- Exemption is limited to single steering axles only 10 kg/mm, max 5,500 kg
